Fall Lacrosse Clinics/Training Sessions
The Fall Clinics are designed to introduce lacrosse to boys grades 2-8 in a series of fun sessions. Beginners will be able to borrow gear from the Dawgs to get a full feel for the sport and try-it-out. Beginners will be in their own group and will be shown proper fundamentals and taught the basic mechanics of scooping ground balls, cradling, throwing, catching, dodging and shooting.
The Fall Training Sessions are for all returning Surf Dawgs grades 2-8. If you are planning on participating in our Winter League, we encourage you to dust off your stick and participate. Boys who are currently playing in our box program and would like to get some extra practice out on the field are welcome as well.
All boys will be separated and placed in groups based on grade, size and ability level.
Eligibility:
Beginner Level - Rising 2nd-8th Graders
Intermediate/advanced Level - Rising 2nd-8th Graders
Cost: $40/Session
Dates/Times: (tentative)
October and November
Location: Corona del Mar High School
If you need to borrow equipment from the Dawgs, please arrive 30 minutes early to allow the necessary time to get your son dressed to participate. Loaner equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves) is available on a first come, first serve basis. Beginners should bring their own lacrosse stick if possible, however, we do have sticks to loan. Players should have a molded mouthpiece, water/gatorade for breaks, along with lacrosse/soccer/football cleats. Please, no sneakers/tennis shoes. A protective cup is also recommended.
